Serbia await if GB can beat Hungary in Fed Cup
A 2-1 win over Croatia meant Serbia were winners of Pool B in Bath.
Serbia will be waiting for Great Britain in the Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 1 play-off if the hosts can get through in Bath.
Serbia booked their place in Saturday’s decider by beating Croatia 2-1 in Pool B’s winner-takes-all clash.
It was tied at 1-1 going into the decisive doubles match where Olga Danilovic and Aleksandra Krunic beat Darija Jurak and Ana Konju 1-6 6-1 6-4.
Danilovic had earlier won her singles match against Jana Fett 2-6 6-2 7-6 (7) before Donna Vekic, the highest ranked singles player in the event at 25, levelled up by beating Krunic 1-6 7-5 6-1.
They now await the winner of a similar shootout between GB and Hungary in Pool A to play for the chance to head into the World Group II play-off in April.
Turkey beat Georgia 2-0 in the other Pool B clash, with both sides already eliminated from the tournament.
