Bedene 6-3 4-6 4-6 2-6 Young. Game, set and match. After a shocking start, Young powers through to a great win with some brilliant shotmaking and flair. The more aggressive, gutsier player wins with aplomb.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 4-6 2-5 Young. Bedene toughs out another service game with a slew of solid first serves, but it's Young all the way. The crowd favourite will attempt to serve it all out.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 4-6 1-4 Young. Young is breaking at precisely the same rate as the previous sets, but this time he is actually serving well too. The American strolls to a double break lead as the Bedene forehand has all but crumbled to dust. Errors in all directions from that forehands, and the writing is on the wall.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 4-6 1-2 Young. The night is no longer young as the American breaks early in set two. The match is moving fast, and seemingly to a climax, and it's moving in only one direction.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 4-6 1-1 Young. A solid hold from Bedene to open up the set. But as usual, Young is right there with him. Slick, effortless shotmaking from the American and parity is restored.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 4-6 Young. Game and set. Young takes another bite out of Bedene with yet another brilliant service game. Good serving, aggression and silky timing bring the American to within a set of victory.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 3-5 Young. No problems for the American this time around. Some accurate lefty serving and some silky left hook forehands, and the American pulls out another hold to bring himself a game away from a strong lead.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 3-4 Young. Bedene gives himself a break and looks a little more positive as he notches up a decent hold. Although Young is playing some great ball, Bedene is still in touch. We'll see which side the American shows in the coming games.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 2-4 Young. This time, no mistake from Young. A brilliant inside in forehand winner, followed by a sickly sweet down the line forehand winner, and then a cool cross court forehand for a de-facto winner brings him clear of Bedene at last. Mouthwatering stuff.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 2-3 Young. It's another break-fest on court 17 as Bedene levels up the set, only the relinquish his serve once more. Donald Young is still going for some brilliant forehands, and so many are coming off at the moment.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 1-2 Young. Bedene sure makes some careless, silly errors even when he isn't attempting to do anything but put the ball back in court. A few such errors roll off the Brit's racquet, and he's down a set as things look ominous.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 1-0 Young. Bedene gets himself together at the beginning of the third set, pounding through a couple of forehands to capture a nice, positive hold to begin the set.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-6 Young. Absolutely no problems for Young at his first attempt to serve it out. The American connects with a slew of first serves and eases through to 15. It's one set all, with plenty for the Brit to think about.

-

Bedene 6-3 4-5 Young. It's tough out there, but Young continues to be really aggressive. He's pushing Bedene back and the Brit seems in two minds between waiting out the storm and taking it to the Slovenian. In fairly related news, Young will serve for the second set.

-

Bedene 6-3 3-4 Young. Quite the break-fest as developed on court 17, with neither man able to hold onto his serve. Just as Bedene draws level, a couple of silly backhand errors see him relinquish the break.

-

Bedene 6-3 2-3 Young. It's all clicking for Young now as he cleans up a slew of forehand winners, and when it does, it's quite beautiful. Meanwhile, Bedene is stuggling to come to terms with this. He knows he needs to up his own aggression again, but it's easier said than done.

-

Bedene 6-3 Young. Not content with the prospect of having to attempt to serve out the match, Bedene recovers from 30-0 down on Young's serve to take the set. For the most part, it was all on Young's racquet with a slew of unspeakable errors. But Bedene probably doesn't mind.

-

Bedene 5-3 Young. Good times for Aljaz Bedene on court 17. As Young screamed his face off, the Brit calmly deposited a strong serve on break point before easing through to consolidate his early break.
