Ferrer 7-5 7-5 7-6(4) Krajinovic. It was a battle, but David Ferrer gets himself a solid straight set win over his young Serbian opponent. As is so often the case against Ferrer, the Serb's risky aggression just didn't cut it against a man who can retrieve so much.

Ferrer 7-5 7-5 Krajinovic. Another dogfight of a set over on court 17, the type of set that David Ferrer loves more than all else. Perhaps the worst score in tennis is a 7-5 set in which the server crumbles one game before the tiebreak – a feat Krajinovic has now achieved twice.

Ferrer 7-5 Krajinovic. After a bit of a tussle, Ferrer gets his favoured return into gear and brushes aside the increasing challenge of Krajinovic just before the irritating lottery of a tiebreak. A backhand return straight to Krajinovic's feet sealed the set, and he's looking pretty good now.

Lopez 2-5 Fish. Big things happening on Armstrong as Fish continues to run away with the first set. A loose Lopez forehand followed by a slick Fish crosscourt backhand gives the American a double break.

Ferrer 3-3 Krajinovic. It's all on serve early on court 17, with the young Serb holding his own. In his first round match Ferrer wore a quite horrifically long elbow brace, so its encouraging to see him tape free after being out thanks to this injury since Wimbledon.
