GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 6-2 HAIDER-MAURER. Much too good from Djoker. It's a love hold as he races to victory after a close opening set. The world number one will meet Seppi in round three.

-

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 5-2 HAIDER-MAURER. Nole breaks to 15 with an overhead putaway at the second attempt. He'll now serve for the match. He's been moody and frustrated with himself at times tonight, but the scoreline will be pretty convincing if he sees this out now.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 4-2 HAIDER-MAURER. Ace number six puts the icing on the cake of another ruthless service game.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 3-2 HAIDER-MAURER. Better from AHM. He finds those big serves and rustles up a cluster of them to hold to 15.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 3-1 HAIDER-MAURER. The Serb consolidates to 30 after briefly giving his opponent a glimmer of hope.

-

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 2-1 HAIDER-MAURER. And there it is. Andreas knows it's just a question of how respectable he gets the scoreline now. Nole rampages to triple break point but hooks what should be a winning backhand into the net on his way to being pegged back to deuce. Most players would succumb to the server at this point, but not Djoker. The Serb sinks his teeth into the AHM serve once more and claims the break.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 1-1 HAIDER-MAURER. No doubt that Nole is thinking of court time here. He's looking to put this to bed and roars through a love hold.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 0-1 HAIDER-MAURER. Andreas gets on the board from deuce after Nole had once again pushed him on serve. He needs to show more of that spirit if he's to make this set interesting.

-

SET! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-1 HAIDER-MAURER. Very business-like from Djokovic. A luscious winner down the seal confirms the two-set lead via a hold to 15. This one doesn't have much left in it. AHM's big serve isn't holding up to much now.

-

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 5-1 HAIDER-MAURER. A double fault hands Djokovic a break to love. He will now serve for the second set.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 4-1 HAIDER-MAURER. The world number one almost gets complacent at 40-0, allowing Andreas a sniff of a chance at 40-30. It's instantly rebuffed, of course. Djoker has clearly set himself on cruise control now.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 3-1 HAIDER-MAURER. Novak sees a glorious double break opportunity snatched away at 30-40 as AHM sizzles an ace down the middle T. Djoker shakes his head in frustration and disbelief and it seems to bother him in the next couple of points as he makes some surprising errors to let the Austrian off the hook.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 3-0 HAIDER-MAURER. The world number one has got his opponent scurrying here, there and everywhere. It's a hold to 30 and it consolidates the break.

-

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 2-0 HAIDER-MAURER. Nole takes a firm grip of this contest after dominating some punishing rallies. Great defence allows him to lure an error that tees up double break point and he makes it count on the second one with a dismissive overhead putaway.

-

DJOKOVIC 6-4 1-0 HAIDER-MAURER. A second ace of the match and more supreme serving sees Novak secure another love hold.

-

SET! - DJOKOVIC 6-4 HAIDER-MAURER. That's why he's the world number one. Djoker raises the stakes with some added slice to lead 0-30 before a huge net cord tees up triple break point. A delightful lob seals the set in style and leaves the Austrian wondering how it all fell away at the end after such strong serving prior to this capitulation.

-

DJOKOVIC 5-4 HAIDER-MAURER. The first ace of the match gets Djoker over the line after AHM had the audacity to take points off his serve. Are we heading to a TB?

-

DJOKOVIC 4-4 HAIDER-MAURER. Any murmurs in the crowd that it could be Djoker's moment to break fall silent as the Serb sees a 0-15 start evaporate under the heat of more thumping serves.

DJOKOVIC 4-3 HAIDER-MAURER. More ruthless efficiency from the Serbinator. Hard to see how AHM's return weapons can do any damage at present.

-

DJOKOVIC 3-3 HAIDER-MAURER. Finally a bit on entertainment! There are a few 'oohs' from the crowd as Djoker wins a challenge on a shot to the baseline before AHM takes the game to 30 with some flexible adjustment at the net after the best exchange of the match so far.

-

DJOKOVIC 3-2 HAIDER-MAURER. Another love hold for the Djoker.

DJOKOVIC 2-2 HAIDER-MAURER. Andreas has got his serving Mojo flowing as well and pounds down some missiles to hold with the minimum of fuss.

-

DJOKOVIC 2-1 HAIDER-MAURER. Nole is serving extremely well out there. The Austrian hopeful barely has a look-in as the Serbinator rampages to a love hold without breaking much sweat to wipe away at the changeover.

Steht erwartungsgemäß in der zweiten Runde bei den US Open: Novak Djokovic
-

DJOKOVIC 1-1 HAIDER-MAURER. Djoker has a swing at a high-kick serve at 40-15 but sees it miss down the line. It's a good hold for AHM who went for some big serves and looked to be the aggressor in most points.

-

DJOKOVIC 1-0 HAIDER-MAURER. Imperious from the off! Djokovic saunters into a 40-0 lead before shrugging off a complacent point to hold to 15.

-

Djokovic will serve first...
