Wimbledon finalist Raonic has to work against Brown but in the end secures a straight sets victory to progress
Billed as one of the ties of the round Raonic and Brown both produced some sensational tennis as the highly anticipated game lived up to its pomise.
Brown was full of cheeky lobs and drops throughout the game but he found it difficult going against Raonic, whose heavy serving brought him a number of aces early on.
In the second set Raonic started to move away from his opponent as the Canadian's service game proved too hot to handle for the German who never strayed away from his unique style of play.
It didn't take long for Raonic to break through in the third and from that moment it felt like it was curtains and he easily saw out of the game despite some more exciting play from Brown.
The game was thoroughly entertaining and both men can be proud; Raonic has passed a tricky test, whilst Brown has given another reminder of what an exciting player he is.
