Pouille (4)6-7 6-4 6-4 6-3 Baghdatis -

That's a really good win for Pouille - Baghdatis played well there, but everything he did, Pouille did better, and he finishes with a drop-shot - but earlier in the match, he apparently broke with a tweener lob. "It's a show," he says - not something you'd catch those who stuff saying. He plays Joao Sousa next.

Pouille 6-7 6-4 6-4 4-2 Baghdatis -

This is like a competition to see who can be the more mercurial. Pouille breaks again, and eventually holds amidst much shouting from Baghdatis.

Pouille 6-7 6-4 6-4 2-2 Baghdatis -

As I said, Baghdatis will definitely hit a flow and break back. And that's exactly what he's done, the sexy groover.

Pouille 6-7 6-4 6-4 1-0 Baghdatis -

Pouille breaks immediately after the break - a lovely symmetry - and with a serve like his, you've got to reckon that'll be enough, magically though Baghdatis can return.

Pouille 6-7 6-4 6-4 Baghdatis -

We're having a break.

Pouille 6-7 6-4 6-4 Baghdatis -

In some ways, Pouille is a bigger, stronger, faster, younger version of the man himself, and has taken control of this match now. He's another French player with a lot of talent and not as much drive, but will surely finish this off at some point.

Sousa 4-6 6-3 5-7 6-2 2-0 Carreno Busta -

I'm not quite sure whether it's injury or the heat - my guess is the latter, as the weather has cooled slightly - but Carreno Busta has retired. Well done Sousa for hanging in there, and he plays Baghdatis or Pouille next.

Pouille (4)6-7 6-4 Baghdatis -

Not gonna lie, the cuddly Cypriot is one of my favourites. But I wonder if he's done here, because Pouille isn't going to let him have owt for nowt and sometimes touch just ain't enough.
