Good afternoon! It’s another big day of quarter final action at the 2021 US Open and we are kicking off with Great Britain’s teen star Emma Raducanu. The 18-year-old has been a revelation on debut at Flushing Meadows and is all set for another match under the spotlight at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Standing in front of the Kent teenager's bid to continue her fairytale run and reach the last four is none other than Olympic champion Belinda Bencic. The Swiss No. 11 seed is full of confidence after her triumph in Tokyo and comes in as the clear favourite - but no one is ruling out another famous Raducanu win. The players are due on court from 17.00 BST.

Raducanu reacts to her win and explains how she overcame a tricky start to defeat the Olympic champion in straight sets: "Playing Belinda, she's such a great opponent and she's an unbelievable player and her ball speed caught me off guard because she hits the ball really hard. So I had to adjust and adapt."

GAME, SET AND MATCH! – RADUCANU 6-3 6-4 BENCIC. She’s done it! Raducanu’s fairytale run continues as Bencic can only fizz a forehand into the net. Emma is into the semi finals on her debut in New York and in only her second Grand Slam. What a story for the British qualifier. She beats the Olympic champion in one hour and 21 minutes. The 18-year-old will meet No.4 seed Karolina Pliskova or No.17 seed Maria Sakkari in the last four.
Raducanu serving for the match. A tight forehand into the net and a second double fault of the match leave Emma 0-30 down. A long return and then a forehand winner get her back on track before an ace earns match point....
RADUCANU 6-3 5-4 BENCIC. The Swiss is undone by the power of the 18-year-old and can only steer an awkward backhand wide for 15-30. Raducanu is just two points from the semis, but Bencic rallies with a big wide serve. The Brit then goes for the match point on the backhand but can’t convert. An ace then moves Belinda out of dodge and poses the serve-out question.
RADUCANU 6-3 5-3 BENCIC. A first double fault of the match hands Bencic a real chance to up the ante and press. Instead, she starts to completely misfire with a trio of forehand errors. She slaps her racket on the floor in frustration and then dumps a backhand into the net to let her opponent off the hook. Raducanu is one game from the semi finals!
RADUCANU 6-3 4-3 BENCIC. A fifth double fault from Bencic offers Raducanu the chance of a double break. The Swiss knows that would be curtains and shifts tactic, coming into the net to great effect. A pair of stun volleys end two superb rallies before a drive volley from mid-court keeps her hopes of turning this around alive.
RADUCANU 6-3 4-2 BENCIC. Raducanu appears to be cruising to a simple hold to back up the break at 40-0. Bencic begins to swing freely and snatches two points back. The Swiss lets rip on a second serve return but is unfortunate to see it clip the top of the net and bounce just wide. Emma is a set and a break to the good. It's pinch yourself stuff.

BREAK! – RADUCANU 6-3 3-2 BENCIC. You run out of superlatives for what Emma is achieving here. She cannons a forehand winner to clock up double break point. It piles the pressure on Bencic who hasn’t managed to respond the way her younger opponent has in these situations so far today. It’s the same story once again for the Tokyo Gold medallist as she chucks in an untimely fourth double fault to gift wrap the break.
RADUCANU 6-3 2-2 BENCIC. Emma has an innate knack for producing the goods in the big moments which is particularly impressive given her age and experience at this level. At 30-30 she lashes down a fourth ace of the match and then finds another big delivery to reach parity.
RADUCANU 6-3 1-2 BENCIC. That’ll do nicely from the Swiss star’s point of view. The serving Mojo flows nicely as she charges through a comfortable and convincing love hold.
RADUCANU 6-3 1-1 BENCIC. Clutch. Raducanu faces a real test at 15-40 but finds her A-game to make deuce. Bencic nails a return winner but the Brit saves it with a big first serve before a wrong-footing forehand finally pays off for her. It’s an excellent hold and denies the Olympic champion an early boost in Set 2.
RADUCANU 6-3 0-1 BENCIC. The No.11 seed fends off her opponent in another tough service game to halt the run against her. A third double fault leaves her in more trouble at 15-30 and Raducanu has the next point on her racket with a mid-court forehand and Belinda looking forlorn in the left corner. She overthinks it though by going against the space and Bencic stays put to sizzle a pass down the line. The Swiss then shows her how it’s done with a wrong-footing forehand. Could that mid-game point prove to be a significant moment?

SET! – RADUCANU 6-3 BENCIC. Wow, just wow! How’s your nerve? All good, thanks says Emma as she strolls through a love hold to tie up the set in 36 minutes. That’s a hugely impressive recovery from the 18-year-old and arguably her best set of the tournament so far given the stage and the opponent.

BREAK! – RADUCANU 5-3 BENCIC. Boom! Raducanu has found some of her top gears and when she’s clicking like this, she’s a sight to behold. Bencic gets out of initial danger from a double fault with an unreturnable serve to force deuce. A truly pulsating rally follows with Emma coming out on top via a scintillating forehand up the line. A forehand pass with Bencic stranded at the net secures the break at the second time of asking and the Brit will now serve for the set.
