Dan Evans might have lost on Centre Court earlier - but there's still one Brit to go today. Andy Murray takes on Denis Shapovalov.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 MURRAY: Extra pace on the serve from Shapovalov, over 130mph as he starts the game. And again he's rushing into the net, leaving Murray unable to keep up. It's a valiant effort from Andy Murray at this year's Wimbledon, but he's knocked out by the better man this evening.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 5-2 MURRAY: Shapovalov approaches the net, fires off an incredible backhand, and Murray just has to stand there and watch it pass him. It's a reminder of how good this Canadian is, and he'll have the chance to serve this out now - but Murray's backhand down the line on game point is also a reminder of how good he is too.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 5-1 MURRAY: Murray's face tells the entire story. He knows this has been just a match too far for him against an opponent who's too good.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 4-1 MURRAY: Murray was 15-40 down here but comes back to hold. It's a reminder of his sheer brilliance and happier times - particularly as the crowd start singing his name.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 4-0 MURRAY: Denis Shapovalov is cruising towards the finish line now. Murray's team - always so visible - are urging him on but this is very nearly over.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 3-0 MURRAY: An absolutely crushing forehand from Shapovalov does the most damage here. He's cheering himself on, but there's a tangible air of disconsolateness around the stands now as Murray is being left so far behind.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 2-0 MURRAY: Another nasty fall for Shapovalov, his right foot skidding out from underneath him. He shakes it off, but he's wincing a little as he serves out the game.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2, 1-0 MURRAY: Play resumes under the roof - Murray hasn't lost a set under it so far this week, but this looks likely to be a demand too far for him.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 6-2 MURRAY: Murray looks so disappointed in himself. He saved the first set point with a sensational cross-court shot that fairly blazed a trail over the grass, but he could only get the ball into the net for the second. The roof is about to close so we'll have a short break.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 5-2 MURRAY: A routine-ish hold after that lengthy preceding game. Murray hasn't been serving particularly well and nor has he taken eight of his nine break point opportunities.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 5-1 MURRAY: More than ten minutes, with these two forcing the best out of each other, but in the end Murray can't put enough pressure on the Shapovalov serve consistently. Some wonderful support for both players from the crowd, who are appreciating the intense effort for that epic game.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 4-1 MURRAY: Well, that makes the scoreboard a little more respectable, but Shapovalov doesn't need to press the Murray serve too hard now.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 4-0 MURRAY: Oh, that was bad. Shapovalov slips again, he's stranded on the floor, Murray has to just get it over the net to save game point - and he dinks his backhand into the net.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 3-0 MURRAY: Shapovalov is moving so well, and even when he takes a tumble he can still cross the court to meet a Murray shot.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 2-0 MURRAY: The Canadian is simply painting the lines now. All the shouts of "Come on, Andy!" are doing little good.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4, 1-0 MURRAY: Some more great tennis as this set opens. Murray is picking some fabulous shots, but Shapovalov is doing it better. The three-time Grand Slam champion opts to challenge the call on the final point, but it's fairly obvious he knows it's a vain hope.

SHAPOVALOV 6-4 MURRAY: What a terrific game that was. Murray has a couple of break points but Shapovalov has that excellent second serve as a weapon to rely on. All to do for the two-time champion.

SHAPOVALOV 5-4 MURRAY: A hold to love for Murray, who's rolling off the points and gathering momentum. He'll need it now to stop Shapovalov from serving it out.

SHAPOVALOV 5-3 MURRAY: Andy Murray breaks to love. What a delightful sight on a Friday evening. Shapovalov is clearly a wonderful player and Murray is using some wiles now.

SHAPOVALOV 5-2 MURRAY: Good stuff from Murray, lifting himself and the crowd.
