WOZNIACKI 6-1 6-3 – No mistake this time from Caroline. Two match points...she gets dominated in the first, but a big serve in the second and that is that.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 5-3 – Two match points for Wozniacki. She can’t take the first as Razzano smashes a winner. She doesn’t take the other as the game goes to deuce. Another chance...another goes with a backhand into the net. Razzano outmanoeuvres Wozniacki and eventually takes the game.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 5-2 – Razzano holds courtesy of a thumping forehand down the line. In the following game however she gets stuck in no man’s land as she scoops up the ball to hit wide. A return of serve also drifts wide and Wozniaki strolls to within a game of victory.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 4-1 – A fantastic return of serve from Razzano as she hits a clean winner. Wozniaki is on the back foot, but she pulls off a brilliant crosscourt passing shot as Razzano does that thing she should never do and comes to the net. It’s deuce, but Wozniacki stays consistent and forces the error from the Frenchwoman.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 3-1 – Razzano looks comfortable until she slices an easy ball halfway up the net. She is dire, just dire when at the net. Another easy volley slams into the net, a backhand travels wide and Wozniacki with another chance to break. A double fault, is a woeful end to a woeful game from Razzano.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 2-1 – The Frenchwoman pings a forehand winner into the corner, but Wozniacki replies with a winner herself. Another failed pass from Razzano, another big serve, another game for Caroline.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 1-1 – It’s probably a good idea for Razzano to stay away from the net. She’s a terrible volleyer. She ignores that sage advice though and skews wide. Some powerful serving keeps her in it though.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 1-0 – Razzano attacks on the Wozniacki serve to get to 30-30, but she can’t deal with the superior power of the world number one who wins the next couple of points to take this opening game of the second set.

WOZNIACKI 6-1 – Razzano goes from 40-0 to deuce with a series of unforced errors. A terrible volley at the net and it’s suddenly set point. Razzano lunges, but can only hit long to give it to the Dane.

WOZNIACKI 5-1 – Razzano stays aggressive and gets to 15-30. She can’t return the following serve though and another failed pass hands the initiative to Wozniacki. The Dane comes to the net and powers a winner into the corner for the game.

WOZNIACKI 4-1 – Wozniacki holds to love to consolidate the break. The Dane keeps the pressure on, forcing a wayward backhand from the Frenchwoman. Razzano fights back but a powerful backhand down the line gets the score to 30-30. A sliced dropshot from Razzano falls just wide and it’s another chance to break...a poor backhand into the net and that’s the double break.

WOZNIACKI 2-1 – BREAK! Wozniacki appeals to Hawkeye and the decision goes her way as a forehand drops plump on the line. A double fault from Razzano and a passing shot just wide gives Wozniacki a chance to break...and that’s the first break of the match.

WOZNIACKI 1-1 – Razzano is dominating the rallies from the back of the court, but Wozniacki holds to 30 to draw level early in this opening set.

WOZNIACKI 0-1 – Razzano opens her service game with ease against the world number one. She moves Wozniacki around the court and puts a winning forehand back in behind the Dane.
