AZARENKA - GAME, SET & MATCH - 6-3 3-6 6-3- Hantuchova wants to challenge at 15-15 but it will be more in vein than anything else. Her second serve is weak and Azarenka slaps a backhand down the line for a clean winner. The Slovakian wisely opts to keep her challenge. Two points later Azarenka does the exact same thing, but the ball lands within a foot of the tramline this time. The 4th seed brings up a match point with a smash and takes it after out-hitting the Slovakian.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-6 5-2 - The Belarussian 4th seed is serving very well here. She gets to 40-0 in no time at all and holds when Hantuchova fails to return her serve for the third time in the game. She's now only one game away from a place in the fourth round. Hantuchova will need to serve well here to stay in the match.

AZARENKA 6-3 3-6 4-2 - Hantuchova does superbly well at 30-15 as she approaches the net. Azarenka pulls out a lightning-quick cross-court backhand to which the Slovakian gets down low to volley back over at the tightest angle. Her serve is too hot on the next point and she keeps herself alive in the third.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-6 4-1 - Azarenka gets to 40-30 but is not even in the rally at game point as Hantuchova makes her run from left, to right, and back again before the Slovakian drop-volleys exquisitely to take it to deuce. Azarenka decides that enough is enough and sends down two serves in a row that Hantuchova can't keep in play.

-

AZARENKA - BREAK - 6-3 3-6 3-1 - Azarenka storms through the first point after the break and as she waits for the next serve, she stands half a metre behind the baseline talking to herself and pumping her fists. Whatever she said to herself seems to work as she dominates Hantuchova's second serve and gets the break with a clean cross-court forehand winner.

-

The Slovakian and Belarussian are currently having their five minute warm-up which they are allowed following the rain delay.

-

Azarenka and Hantuchova have both appeared back on Centre Court. Hantuchova will kick it back off serving at 30-30.

-

AZARENKA - PLAY SUSPENDED - 6-3 3-6 2-1 - Hantuchova races into a 30-0 lead but two very slack ground strokes allow Azarenka back into the game. The heavens then open and umpire Lynn Welch suspends play.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-6 2-1 - The fourth seed holds to 15 as she serves, and grunts her way through a very solid service game. She jogs to the chairs at the changeover giving herself some words of wisdom.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-6 1-1 - After an epic rally, Hantuchova gets a game point. She serves out wide to which Azarenka cannot return. It's all square.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-6 Hantuchova eventually takes the second set which Azarenka bizarrely has a problem with the judge about. Her final lobbed forehand was clearly out, but clearly the frustration of it going to three sets is getting to her.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-5 - BREAK Hantuchova had all the answers in that game, Azarenka produced some decent shots but there was no getting past the more experienced Czech who now serves for the set.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-4 Azarenka seemed to be in control at 30-0 but a marginal line call maybe put her off a little and Hantuchova produced two strong serves to see out the game.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 3-3 The Belarussian has the momentum as she wins her third consecutive game. There's nothing in this one.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 2-3 - BREAK Azarenka given two break points and only needs one as she gives herself a great chance to level the set up.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 1-3 The number four seed manoueveres her opponent well from the serve pushing her outwide from the off which put her on the back foot immediately throughout the game.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 0-3 Hantuchova giving few chances away on her own serve now, the only lengthy rally that they got into was eventually ended with a beautifully disguised backhand volley which had Azarenka rooted to the spot on the bassline.

-

AZARENKA 6-3 0-2 - BREAK Azarenka has totally lost the dominance she was creating at the end of the first set and Hantuchova is now looking comfortable and strong, returning her serves with relative ease.

-

AZARENKA 6-3, 0-1 Hantuchova takes it confidently. She's a tall woman and when she finds her serve then it's one of the best, unfortunately she doesn't have her radar working all the time.

-

AZARENKA 6-5 - SET Azarenka has stopped messing around and takes the set in style sending Hantuchova into the corners and then producing a sublime drop shot to take the points.

-

AZARENKA 3-5 - BREAK Consecutive double-faults from Hantuchova after new balls were introduced eventually cost ehr at the end of the game which was ended with an overhit forehand sailing over the bassline

-

AZARENKA 4-3 It took Azarenka five game points to eventually go ahead as both players were producing far too many unforced errors, especially Azarenka who consistantly found the net at the crucial moment.

-

AZARENKA 3-3 The 28-year-old Czech shows good composure to hold serve with ease and level up the match

-

AZARENKA 3-2 - BREAK Hantuchova responds in the perfect way with a couple of bullet forehand returns that left Azarenka motionless.

-

AZARENKA 3-1 - BREAK Hantuchova had some work done to her strapping before the game, but her movement doesn't seem effected, she did lose the game though, arguably due to umpire calls. One tremendous drop shot from Hantuchova seemed to have bounced twice when Azarenka returned it, but it wasn't called.

-

AZARENKA 2-1 The number 4 seed's strong serve proving too much for her opponent as she takes the game to love with only one being returned.

-

AZARENKA 1-1 The heavily taped up Hantuchova showed no sign of injury as she opened up a 40-0 lead but then a weak bassline backhand a double fault let Azarenka back in. Hantuchova got lucky as her opponent flashed a service return well wide to end the game though.

-

AZARENKA 1-0 A fairly straight forward opening service game for the Belarussian number 4 seed who looks to be in good rhythm from the off.
