GAME, SET AND MATCH! - WILLIAMS 6-2 6-2 RODINA. Serena Williams continues her march at Wimbledon 2018. The seven-time champion breaks again to secure a routine victory in just one hour and two minutes.

Serena Williams celebrates winning against Netherlands' Arantxa Rus during their women's singles first round match on the first day of the 2018 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Lawn Tennis Club

WILLIAMS 6-2 5-2 RODINA. Serena causes herself some further issues and she's clearly a little agitated that some parts of her game aren't quite where they were pre-baby. Having said that, she's still too good for most. It's a hold to 30 and she's one away from the last eight.

BREAK! - WILLIAMS 6-2 4-2 RODINA. Serena moves up a couple of gears and plays some lights out tennis that is just too good. It's a break to love and normal service seems to have resumed.

Serena Williams of The United States returns against Viktoriya Tomova of Bulgaria during their Ladies' Singles second round match on day three of the Wimbledon

BREAK! - WILLIAMS 6-2 3-2 RODINA. Well, there you go. A bit of complacency with a smidgen of 'I've got nothing to lose' hitting from Rodina and a forehand winner snares her a break. It's a great moment, but could well just serve to anger the legend that is SW.

WILLIAMS 6-2 3-1 RODINA. Some encouraging cheers from Centre Court as Rodina gets herself on the board with a solid hold to 15. Can she at least make this competitive? Easier said than done against Williams. Complacency seems to be the biggest danger to her.

WILLIAMS 6-2 3-0 RODINA. Williams consolidates to 30. Centre Court hasn't seen much of a contest in either of the first two matches today. Will Nadal-Vesely see a surprise?

BREAK! - WILLIAMS 6-2 2-0 RODINA. Serena wants this match done and dusted. More pressure on the Rodina serve reaps rewards as the Russian blows and forehand attempt at a winner long on break point.

WILLIAMS 6-2 1-0 RODINA. No danger in that one. Serena starts Set 2 with an error off the backhand, but roars through the next three points before finishing with an ace.

SET! - WILLIAMS 6-2 RODINA. That's a horror show from Rodina. She lands two double faults, including a set-clinching one for Serena as she pretty much breaks herself to love. This match could be over rather quickly from here. Just 30 minutes in and the seven-time champ is on the march.

WILLIAMS 5-2 RODINA. The glitches are there for everyone to see, but Rodina doesn't seem to have the weapons to take advantage. She whips a lovely crosscourt return winner beyond Williams for a break point from deuce, but can't convert as the No.25 seed roars through the gears to move within a game of taking the first set.

WILLIAMS 4-2 RODINA. Serena tilts back her head and looks to the heavens as an audacious dropshot just falls short. It's an error that helps Rodina over the line after Williams had threatened at 15-30.

WILLIAMS 4-1 RODINA. It's far from routine as Serena juxtaposes an ace and a service winner with a pair of double faults. The 23-time Grand Slam champion does enough again though as she maintains her advantage with a backhand winner.

WILLIAMS 3-1 RODINA. Evgeniya gets herself on the board with a much more convincing hold to 15. That'll hopefully settle any early nerves.

WILLIAMS 3-0 RODINA. The seven-time champion consolidates with a love hold. The last eight is already beckoning eagerly.

BREAK! - WILLIAMS 2-0 RODINA. A couple of brutal forehand winners do plenty of damage as Serena breaks to 15. Ominous signs for the qualifier.

WILLIAMS 1-0 RODINA. One or two minor glitches don't really hamper Serena as she gets on the board to 30.

Serena Williams will serve first.
