Wimbledon 2017: Roger Federer: I don't know what I did last night - my head's ringing

Roger Federer has revealed he is suffering a brutal hangover after celebrating his eighth Wimbledon title until five in the morning.

The 35-year-old was speaking the morning after his record-clinching triumph at the All England Club, which saw him surpass Pete Sampras's tally of seven titles, and took him to 19 Grand Slam wins overall.
Federer crushed a tearful Marin Cilic – who was suffering badly with a blister on his foot – 6-3 6-1 6-4 to ensure that he did not lose a set all tournament.
The Swiss attended the traditional champions' dinner with women's winner Garbine Muguruza, and it seems as though he celebrated with vigour.
"My head is ringing," Federer admitted.
I don't know what I did last night. I drank too many different types of drinks I guess. But after the ball we went to a bar and there was about 30 or 40 friends there.
"We had a great time. I got to bed at 5 and I woke up and I didn't feel good.
"The last hour I have finally felt somewhat OK again. But we had a good time."
Federer also explained why he did not dance with fellow Wimbledon champion Muguruza at the dinner.
"When there's no music whatsoever it's hard to get going."
Federer won the Australian Open in February but missed the entire clay-court season to spare his body ahead of Wimbledon.
He is now the tournament favourite for the US Open, as he targets a 20th Grand Slam title in New York.
