Twenty-three-time Grand Slam winner Williams gave birth to her daughter Alexis in September and she returned to action in February having missed over a year out since winning the 2017 Australian Open.
Her first Slam of her return came at Roland Garros where she was unseeded. She made it to the fourth round where she would have faced Maria Sharapova but she was forced to withdraw with injury.
There had been much debate as to whether or not she would receive a seeding, with Williams being vocal in her belief that her ranking should have been protected when she was pregnant.
It has now been confirmed that the seven-time Wimbledon champion, 36, will be seeded #25.
French Open champion Simona Halep is seeded one with Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki, former Wimbledon winner Garbine Muguruza, US Open champion Sloane Stephens and Elina Svitolina making up the top five.
Britain's Jo Konta is seeded #22.
That is the same seeding as compatriot Kyle Edmund on the men's side of the draw, which is headed by defending champion Roger Federer and French Open winner Rafa Nadal.
Marin Cilic, who recently won Queen's, is seeded third.
