Guido Pella stunned No 3 seed Marin Cilic with a five-set win in the second round of Wimbledon.
The Croatian, who lost to Roger Federer in last year's final, was cantering to victory on Wednesday evening, before rain stopped play, taking the first two sets 6-3 6-1 on Court 1.
However, the world No 82 from Argentina, who had never reached the third round of a Grand Slam before, came right back into the match, taking the next two sets 6-4 7-6 (3) after play resumed on Thursday.
The 28-year-old then took the final set 7-5, breaking when 6-5 up, on his fourth match point, to set up a meeting with American Mackie McDonald in the third round.
"Yesterday he was playing so, so good, and hitting the ball so hard that I couldn't do anything," Pella said. "So the rain helped me a lot."
