Competing in the women's 69kg category, Tiler was making her first major appearance since her maiden Olympic Games in Rio last summer.
And the 18-year-old showed few signs of rustiness, achieving three good lifts in the first discipline – opening with 93kg, before clearing 96kg and 100kg – to secure second place in the snatch.
She then opened with 120kg in the clean and jerk before a slip on the platform caused her to miss her second lift of 124kg.
But she came back out and cleared the weight in her third and final lift to finish in fourth place with a total of 224kg.
That was just 1kg behind the second and third-place finishers, leaving Tiler delighted with her efforts.
"I'm really happy with today's performance - it's my first major competition since Rio and the prep had gone well so I was confident going out on the platform," she said.
"To get five out of six good lifts on the international stage is really positive, there are lots of new faces and most other lifters are a lot older than me so to come out here and lift as I did today is great - I'm still buzzing!"
The competition is one of the key qualifying events for next year's Commonwealth Games, with Tiler's teammate Emily Godfrey also finishing eighth overall in what was her first competition since suffering a stress fracture in December.
