Elsewhere, Alex Fiva claimed his 12th career Ski Cross World Cup win with victory in Idre Fjall on Saturday. The 32-year-old has a phenomenal record at the Swedish resort, having also won there in both 2017 and 2018.
Meanwhile in the women’s event Germany's Heidi Zacher claimed victory as overall leader and home favourite Sandra Naslund went out in the quarter-finals.
European champion Stephanie Schneider took her second Bobsleigh World Cup victory of the season in Innsbruck, finishing in 1:46.06. Her brakewoman Ann-Christin Strack won on her World Cup debut and only the third race of her professional bobsleigh career. The German pair crossed the line 0.11 seconds clear of compatriot and Olympic champion Mariama Jamanka, with her partner Kira Lipperheide.
France's quartet of Julia Simon, Anais Bescond, Justine Braisaz and Anais Chevalier combined to claim victory in the women's relay at the Biathlon World Cup in Ruhpolding.
Victory was their first of the season after finishing down in fifth a week ago in Oberhof and means that three different countries have won the first three women's relay events of the season so far.
The French quartet were dominant from the off, Simon and Bescond missing just one shot between them out of 20 to put them in charge.
And, after Bescond, Braisaz and Chevalier all cracked the top ten of the individual sprint on Thursday, they were not to be denied thereafter.
Second on the day was the Norwegian women's quartet – their first relay podium of the season – while third were hosts Germany after their second place in Oberhof last week.
Francesco Friedrich's complete and utter domination of the two-man bobsleigh World Cup continued as he maintained his 100 per cent record this season in Innsbruck.
Friedrich has cycled through three different brakemen but that hasn't slowed him in the slightest and he made it five victories from five by laying down the fastest time on both runs in Austria.
Alongside Thorsten Margis this week, the German clocked 51.39s on his first run and 51.46s on his second for a total time of 1:42.85.
The double Olympic gold medallist led compatriot Johannes Lochner by 0.08s after the first run and extended that to an ultimate victory margin of 0.15 as Lochner and brakeman Florian Bauer settled for silver.
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo extended his lead at the top of Cross Country World Cup standings as he took victory in the 1.6km sprint in Otepää.
The Norwegian claimed victory in the final in a time of 3:20.05, as he finished 1.51 seconds clear of Russia's Alexander Bolshunov.
It means Klaebo continues his hot run in the cross country, as he took the 12th individual sprint World Cup win of his career - moving him up to joint-third in the all-time list for wins.
Norway's Paal Golberg completed the top three, completing the race 2.53 seconds off his compatriot in first.
Klaebo now has 1,034 points in the overall standings, more than 200 points clear of his nearest rival Bolshunov (830).
Austria’s dominance of the prestigious Wengen downhill continued as Vincent Kriechmayr edged out Switzerland’s home favourite Beat Feuz and Norway’s Aleksander Aamodt Kilde to top the podium.
Over the 89 editions of the race an Austrian has won 31 times and Kriechmayr’s narrow win by 0.14 continued the dominance.
The win is Kriechmayr’s fourth career World Cup win and ninth overall podium, seeing him climb to second in the downhill standings, but he still trails Feuz by almost 100 points.
Stephan Leyhe dramatically sealed top spot for Germany's men with his final leap at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Zakopane.
Leyhe and Karl Geiger - who were part of the team that took silver in the team event at PyeongChang - were joined by Markus Eisenbichler and David Siegel as they finished
ahead of Austria in second, while hosts Poland ended the day down in third.
