What an incredible race to sign off for the season. The lead changed hands more time than you could count, and it ended with the one man you might not have tipped taking the chequered flag.
Iannone second, Simon third, Elias out of the reckoning - but not hurt by that late crash.
Abraham wins!
Chaos! Elias and Iannone hit - Abraham leads, Simon second, Iannone third!
ELIAS OFF! There's a crash!
Elias briefly into third but Abraham keeps him back - Simon swarming!
One lap left! What surprises remain?
Iannone continues to hold the lead under pressure from Simon - and Abraham makes a cheeky move to sneak into third!
Iannone back in front! He cuts inside and though Simon looks like he'll win it back on the home straight, he cannot get there!
Backmarkers! That could throw another factor into consideration as these riders jostle for the lead.
The top four still very close together as we enter the final stages of this race.
Elias into third - Abraham keeps looking at a move around the outside towards the end of the lap but he cannot make it stick.
Again Simon pulls it back! He leads, but these overtaking moves are inviting Abraham and Elias back into the mix.
There's a little gap emerging between the top two and the rst of the field - and De Angelis has slipped a second behind the top six.
Iannone now bearing down on Simon and he gets straight through - no answers to an uncompromising move!
Simon, Iannone, Abraham, Elias, Redding, Luthi, De Angelis - all clear and swapping positions with regularity!
Abraham and Redding touch contesting third - it's close but both riders stay on and Abraham keeps third.
Still Simon leads going over the finish line.
Simon slams past Iannone at turn two. Can he make it stick this time?
The top four is changing more quickly than I can type - extraordinary stuff - Iannone back in front - Simon second, Abraham third, Redding fourth.
Abraham back into third and looking at Simon on the outside, but he's too busy reclaiming the lead!
You can't take your eyes off this - the field has bunched - Abraham opportunistically got up to second - then Simon won his second spot back and Elias pounced to grab third!
Iannone wins his race back - and Simon down to third!
The pressure building on the Italian as Simon eyes a move at turn 2 - no, not here - but now he makes his move and away he goes!
First look at Iannone from the chasing Simon - he pulls out of a move on that occasion.
The first seven riders have a five second gap to Corsi.
Iannone has a look over his shoulder - he'll not like what he sees.
Simon is closing on Iannone - no doubt about it - he's taken six-tenths of a second out of the Italian's gap on the last lap.
Standings - Iannone, Simon, Abraham, Elias, Redding, Luthi, De Angelis, Corsi
Is Elias warming up as we move into the second half of the face?
Toni Elias cuts past Scott Redding to take fourth place! It's been an up-and-down race for the Brit.
Simon in second would now keep his second place in the championship - if the race finishes this way.
BRADL OFF! He disappears off the track giong through the corner and his race is now over!
If anyone is in the frame of mind to catch Iannone it's Simon - is the gap within his reach?
Simon's stunning ride continues - as easy as you like he slips into second past Bradl at the start of lap 11!
A queue of five riders behind Bradl in second place, all in quite good shape.
Sofuoglu has called it a day - he's very disappointed having been in such a good position.
No championship on the line today but a thrilling race shaping up in the midfield - Iannone looking good in front.
iannone now leads from Bradl - Abraham third, Simon fourth - Scott Redding has lost a couple of places in a very short space of time.
Drama - Bradl and Sofuoglu collide on the back straight and the Technomag rider runs out of room and hits the gravel - he's still going but his race at the front is surely over.
Simon is riding a good race and moving through the field.
Abraham has jumped ahead of Elias and the Spnaird is down to sixth.
As it stands Iannone would finish second in the championship behind Elias.
Simon up to eighth now, having posted the fastest lap, a 1:35.2.
Sofuoglu chasing down Iannone but the Italian has built himself a good gap here. Bradl having a look at Redding trying to get back the places he lost.
Bradl loses two spots - Sofuoglu witha tidy maneouvre and then Redding follows!
Simon gets past De Angelis to take ninth place - the second-placed man in the championship on the move.
Iannone has opened up a decent gap here early in the race.
The top five - Iannone, Bradl, Sofuoglu, Redding, Elias.
Another hectic start - Elias has plenty to do.
Iannone goes wide but despite pressure from Bradl and Sofuoglu he hangs on!
Disaster for Elias - he's down to fifth!
Elias leads - NO! Iannone sweeps through to the first corner on the inside!
The warm-up lap begins and we're just moments away from th start in Valencia.
The weather is set fair and we have clear skies for the last race of the season.
We're set for 27 laps around the 2.5mile Valencia circuit.
2010 winner Toni Elias is on pole on his home circuit.
We've just seen Bradley Smith win his first race in the 125cc class and Marc Marquez claim the championship title.
